Visiting Doctoral Researcher
Elena is a visiting doctoral researcher, working in the philosophy of cognitive science. Drawing on E-cognition, her research explores the intersection between episodic and semantic memory through the study of hybrid forms of memory that have largely been overlooked, such as generic memory. Focusing on these forms of memory helps to develop a less idealised picture of memory, one that emerges from the interplay of multiple cognitive systems as well as multiple external resources. Her previous research has focused on minimal cognition, including fungal cognition, as well as metaphysical accounts of memory and time.
