Seed Funding

The Centre for the Sciences of Place & Memory seed funding programme supports early-stage, developmental research concerned with place and/or memory, understood broadly and across disciplines, and aligned with the Centre’s projects and workstreams.

Seed funding is intended to support pilot work, emerging collaborations, and other research activities that may contribute to future publications, partnerships, public engagement, or external funding applications.

The current 2026 Seed Funding round, open to University of Stirling researchers across all Faculties, working individually or collaboratively, has recently closed.

Applicants will be notified: Friday 13 March 2026

Full eligibility criteria for this recent round, guidance on the aims of the scheme, and details of how to apply are provided in the Seed Funding Guidelines.

There will be one or two further rounds of in the seed funding program in the 2026/27 academic year.
